PRIMAL FEAR To Sign New Record Deal, Begin Work On Next Album
December 11, 2012Bassist Mat Sinner of German power metallers PRIMAL FEAR has issued the following update:
"We're working hard on the future of the band at the moment. Aside of the two shows at the year's end, we can announce today that we will sign a new recording contract soon. Our target are two new studio recordings and a new live DVD/CD/Blu-ray package. After next year's Rock Meets Classic tour (featuring four members of the band),we will start with the songwriting for the new album and we have a lot of great riffs and even an album title in mind. Recordings will take place in July/August 2013. Stay tuned for more updates soon!"
PRIMAL FEAR's latest album, "Unbreakable", sold around 600 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 44 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
Released on January 24, 2012 in the U.S. via Frontiers Records, "Unbreakable" was tracked in part at House Of Music studios in Winterbach, Germany with producer/bassist Mat Sinner and engineer Achim Köhler (EDGUY, MASTERPLAN).
